Why Go Vegan? | The Vegan Society

Our diet is one of the most impactful parts of our lives. We spend most of our life in eating, our eating habits may be healthy, unhealthy, good as well as bad. Man is amazing living being on Earth. He kills animals and harms the mother earth to meet its requirement. But with time people are changing, Many people are putting their step forward to protect the earth and the environment around them and doing much more to make the world a better place. Everyone is now pledging to love and respect their environment and the components  like animals that constitute the environment by moving forward towards the Vegan diet.

What is “Vegan”? Why to become “vegan”? Here is the answer to all your questions.

Vegan is person whose way of living  is natural, harmless and healthy. We love eating animal’s meat, dairy products and beautifying ourselves with the ornaments that are obtained from animals skin and other parts of their body. Every time while demanding an animal product, we are contributing to the extreme cruelty that is done to the poor animals.

Everyone before changing their minds towards their habits would like to know the reasons ” why they should become vegan”. So here are reasons to become a vegan.

  1. Human beings have been very cruel toward animals since ancient times. Animals like cows suffer through repeated pregnancies for uninterrupted supply of milk and the mother is separated from the calf and even male cow is killed soon after the birth since they are useless to dairy industry.
  2. Cosmetics are tested on the animals sometimes leading to their death.
  3. Chickens are raised in artificial environment in order to lay eggs.
  4. Extracting the leather from animals that are alive so that they can regenerate the skin, the process is extremely painful. And there are many more such brutal activities that harm the beautiful creatures created by nature.

If  you are becoming a vegan, you are supporting the earth as agriculture is one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions. A balanced environment is required to sustain life on earth and balance is only possible if animals are present as they maintain the oxygen-carbon dioxide cycle of earth’s atmosphere.  So, let’s be kind and serve kindness in the world.

Going vegan is easier than ever as with veganism becoming increasingly mainstream, more and more people from all walks of life discover the benefits of living this way. The good news is that you can accomplish all these goals by switching to a vegan diet—and you’ll enjoy delicious, satisfying meals as well. Eat healthy food, you can replace milk with soya milk and tofu instead of cheese and many more. Let us  unite together, save the  earth and go green.
